Legoland USA

We took Charlotte to her very first amusement park on Saturday - Legoland!!

We spent the day there with my big brother's family and had a fantastic time. While Charlotte couldn't do very much, we did do a little boat ride through the Fairy Tale Brook. Charlotte actually spent the whole time looking around and taking everything in.

Charlotte and I waiting in line for the Fairy Tale Brook ride.

Afterward, we all drove up to Garden Grove (Little Saigon) and met up with my parents and sister's family for dinner at Seafood Paradise. We had a massive Vietnamese feast complete with lobster, soft-shelled crab, and the most amazing fried tofu. Seriously good.

Another wonderful day with the family.

Roll Over, Roll Over

So Charlotte is mastering the art of rolling over, to the right (and only to the right). She's been able to roll from her belly to back (in both directions) since the end of March. But the back to belly action only started a few days ago. Since then, she's been rolling like a rock star! Here's a little video highlighting her newly found skills. :)

Flagstaff on Fire

This is a clip of the fires blazing just north of Flagstaff, Arizona. Charlotte was born at the Flagstaff Medical Center and Justin and I saw those gorgeous mountains everyday while our baby was at the hospital. Flagstaff is such a gorgeous town and the people there took such good care of our family. My heart goes out to everyone there...

First Father's Day

Justin celebrated his very first father's day this past Sunday. Charlotte and I let him sleep in while we cooked a delicious breakfast of fresh baked croissants, crispy bacon, and roasted asparagus with scrambled eggs. We got him a nifty card complete with a coupon book for free breakfasts, massages, and car washes. Too bad the coupons expired on Monday. :)

Lovely Day

We had the most lovely day this past Friday. We spent the morning at the beach. Then we went to Grand Pappy's house for lunch. Charlotte stayed awake for most of the visit to play. Then after we put Charlotte to sleep, we watched an entire movie!! We got Avatar on pay per view (too tired to go to Blockbuster or Redbox) and it was fantastic! Decent movie on a comfy couch at home. Perfect end to the day.

Maternity Leave - quickly coming to an end

So i only have about one week left of maternity leave. It's slowly hitting me - especially when I wake up in the morning and little Charlotte is lying right next to me in bed. She does this super cute stretching routine for about 2 minutes while she's waking up before finally screaming for milk. I can't get over how amazing it is to be a mother. And having one just makes me want to have more kids. I'll try to focus on the positive and enjoy it while I can before she gets too big.
